WHy facial cupping?
Get your Glow on!
Because cupping improves blood and lymphatic circulation, your skin cells become flooded with oxygen and nutrients, and cellular wastes are eliminated.
Healthy Creation of Collagen
As we age, our skin’s vitality decreases. Cupping’s suction stimulates the production of collagen, which improves elasticity and hydration and leads to supple, pump skin.
Decreases Imperfections & Puffiness
Cupping reduces puffiness, firms and tightens the skin, improves the appearance of lines and wrinkles and improves acne.
Cup your Worries Away!
We often don’t realize the amount of stress we hold in our face! Facial Cupping relieves tension that we hold in the facial muscles, scalp and jaw thereby improving headaches, TMJ and sleep quality.
How does it work?
Facial cupping uses moving suction over your face and neck, thereby making it a relaxing and rejuvenating treatment without any bruising or downtime. The suction stimulates the production of collagen, which improves elasticity and hydration and leads to supple, pump skin.
How long is the treatment and how many treatments do I need?
The Initial Facial Cupping visit is 60 minutes long and includes the treatment itself. Follow-up visits are 30 minutes. Since the benefits of Facial Cupping build on each other, it is recommended to do weekly treatments for 6-8 weeks, followed by maintenance treatments.
What can I expect from my first Facial Cupping appointment?
Prior to the treatment, the practitioner will complete a detailed health history, a complaint-oriented physical exam, and will review your medications, supplements, topical creams and any allergies you may have, to ensure that Facial Cupping is safe and indicated for you. Treatment is individualized based on the assessment of your skin. Dr. Aisha will explain your treatment strategy, the treatment itself and will answer any questions you may have. Personalized post-treatment care will also be discussed.
Your face will be cleansed and natural oils will be applied to your face, neck and décolleté. You will feel the suction as a light pull to your skin as the cups glide on your skin in various directions of drainage. Patients report this to be a completely painless and very relaxing experience (so relaxing in fact, that you may even doze off)! The cupping treatment is followed by a refreshing jade roller technique, as well as acupressure massage to the face and scalp.
You will leave feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and glowing!
